The concept of non-place, derived from Marc Augé’s theories in the early 1990s concerning anonymous spaces in urban environments, has become a central theme in contemporary art. These spaces of transit and constant movement compel us to navigate a world saturated with an excess of visual stimuli. Wth Across the Non-Place, we explore the anonymous urban spaces by integrating them into the realm of contemporary art. Using elements such as painted walls adorned with propaganda, abandoned buildings as canvases, and video projections showing fragments of urban space, he appropriates and reinterprets these elements to give them new meaning.
