The Seitakivi project, carried out in Finland in 2022, explores the sacred sites of Europe’s last Indigenous cultures. The research goes beyond superficial ethnology to contextualize this tradition within our collective history, overcoming romantic perspectives and contemporary clichés. The mokulito technique seeks to capture the sensory duality of these sites: the tactile solidity of wood and stone, contrasted with the ethereal and visual nature of rice paper. In parallel, an artist’s book was also produced using the same technique.
